The primary purpose of the Diversity Council is to support the leadership team in implementing the diversity management initiative. To this end, the Council must function as a team and be able to represent the multitude of perspectives in the organization.
Development of the Council must enable members to become subject matter experts, model effective diversity management maturity and skills, and operate as a microcosm of the desired culture.
We provide invaluable guidance for the formation and development of Diversity Councils, including: member selection, launching, team development, identifying the work of the Council and communication campaigns.

Ensure the diversity management team understands the implications of diversity and diversity management on people development, policies, practices, marketing, community relations, and more
Provide knowledge on diversity and diversity management; utilize it to implement strategy, gain progress, and measure outcomes
Equip the Council to serve as internal sponsors and knowledgeable facilitators on diversity management matters
Foster internal bench strength to coach, counsel, guide and support business unit and organizational progress.
