Executive Briefing

This is a facilitated session with key organizational leaders, conducted by Dr. R. Roosevelt Thomas, Jr. It is designed to provide insight into the business rationale and benefits of taking a strategic rather than event-driven approach to diversity management. It gives leaders an understanding of the evolution of diversity management practice from the traditional approach based on a social justice agenda, to the current diversity management strategy needs of domestic and global companies.

The session:

  • Affirms the business rationale for developing diversity management capability
  • Provides the concepts, principles and decision-making frameworks of the Strategic Diversity Management Process™ (SDMP™)
  • Offers a discussion of the Strategic Organizing Frameworks as a context for strategic planning and coordination
  • Helps leaders understand how the SDMP™ can foster innovation and collaboration, attract and retain key talent, and gain competitive advantage
  • Offers the SDMP™ as a universal process that can be used with any Diversity and Inclusion issue at any organization level
  • Identifies next steps in adopting the SDMP™ and developing a strategy for enhanced traction with Diversity and Inclusion initiatives
