This one-day workshop takes a Strategic Diversity Management Process™ (SDMP™ ) approach to building sensitive relationships among members of a diverse workforce, and in the midst of their Eggshell Situations (circumstances characterized by stress and strain from the differences and similarities of diversity). In keeping with SDMP™’s spirit, the facilitators do not prescribe what individuals and organizations should do when encountering Eggshell Situations, but rather offer tools for thinking through these challenges and reaching “solutions” most appropriate for the overall mission, vision and strategy of a given enterprise.
Utilizing a series of small group exercises, the workshop provides hands-on real world experience with the following SDMP™ - based decision making frameworks: Managing Being Diversity-Challenged, Accepting Diversity Tension, Managing through Bias, Managing Against Requirements, and Managing Differences That Matter. These SDMP™ - based tools equip participants from all organizational levels to recognize Eggshell Situations, analyze them and to develop the action steps most suitable for their organizational environments. As such, this workshop can be a valuable component of an organization’s diversity and inclusion training arsenal.
